Chairman PVPA Dr Asim Mahmood Khan at UVAS 79th Syndicate — Rs. 4.87 Billion Budget Approved for FY 2026-27

FLASH NEWS — Chairman's activity REPORT FROM UVAS — 79th Syndicate Meeting, 30 July 2026 PVPA Chairman Dr Asim Mahmood Khan attended the 79th Syndicate meeting of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore as a syndicate member. The Syndicate approved Rs. 4.870 billion budget for FY 2026-27 with focus on innovation, applied research, skill-based practical learning, hands-on training, improving educational facilities and services, and technology transfer to boost the livestock sector. Key budget highlights presented by Treasurer Mr Muhammad Umar: • Expected non-development income: Rs. 3.243 billion • Expected non-development expenditure: Rs. 3.952 billion • Projected deficit: Rs. 709.529 million • Expected income from university's own sources: Rs. 2.334 billion Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Rabbani highlighted major initiatives including Ravi Campus Pattoki as an Agro-Livestock Tourism Resort, the Pakistan Netherlands Dairy Development Center, faculty wellbeing and career development programmes, and the Center for Academic Development and Student Wellbeing.
